St. Johns RIVERKEEPER and our community partners recently launched an exciting new River Friendly education campaign to raise awareness about the impact of our actions upon the health of the St John River and to inform and inspire people to adopt river-friendly lifestyle practices. The goal of the River Friendly Education and Awareness Campaign is to provide the public with informative resources and tools that will help them make more informed choices to better protect their St. Johns River.

The campaign includes River Friendly educational brochures and materials, online resources, workshops, and a River Friendly Pledge asking citizens to make a personal commitment to help protect the health of the St. Johns River.

One of the central components of the River Friendly Campaign is the Rain Barrel Project. Partnering businesses, schools, and organizations in northeast Florida are displaying artistically-designed rain barrels to help raise awareness about conserving water and how to be river friendly.  Keep your eyes open for these really cool barrels and take the pledge to be river friendly!
