Dr. Quinton White Honored By Leadership Jacksonville Dr. White assisting students at JU

Recently, Dr. Quinton White, Jr. was honored by Leadership Jacksonville at its annual "Celebration of Leadership" event for his many years of community involvement.  Dr. White is the Executive Director of the Marine Science Research Institute (MSRI) at Jacksonville University and is a founding Board member of St. Johns Riverkeeper.

Dr. White has been a champion for the St. Johns River ever since his arrival at JU in 1976.  He has become one of the foremost experts on the river and is widely respected as an educator, researcher, advocate and community leader.  As a result of his leadership and vision, JU was able to establish the MSRI, a premier biological and environmental research and education facility on the banks of the St. Johns.  The offices of St. Johns Riverkeeper are also located in the new MSRI facility.

Congratulations Quint and thank you for all that you do for the St. Johns River, St. Johns Riverkeeper, and our community!
