Troubled Waters: Orange County Screening and Q&A

Join us for a free special screening of Troubled Waters, the powerful film from St. Johns Riverkeeper about the impending crisis facing Florida’s waters. A Q&A will follow the screening.

Despite their importance, Florida’s waterways are suffering from significant pollution problems such as fertilizer runoff, poorly treated municipal and industrial wastewater, and failing septic tanks. Combined with the impacts from a rapidly growing population we have a potential recipe for disaster.

Troubled Waters highlights the significant pollution problems that exist, the politics that are undermining our environmental protections, and the impending water crisis that we face. More importantly, it serves as an important call to action for all of Florida’s rivers, lakes, springs, and aquifers.

This event is being hosted by Orange Audubon Society.

Following the screening of the documentary (48 minutes), there will be a Q&A with Jane Durocher, Middle Basin Advocacy Director. Free and open to the public.

Questions from the audience are encouraged.
