Planting Seeds Poetry Workshop

“Planting Seeds” Poetry Workshop with Camille Dungy

Saturday, June 24 from 12-1:30 p.m. at Riverview Park

In Partnership with LISC Jacksonville and the Jacksonville Public Library

With the Trout River as a backdrop, Poet Camille Dungy will help us explore ways to see our own work in relation to the living world around us. Following a series of prompts and possibilities, this workshop will give you a chance to start growing in new directions on the page. We’ll explore various strategies for how to get started, how to keep going, and how to improve what you’ve already written.

Register

This workshop is free, but we ask that you register in advance as space is limited.

Registration is for the poetry workshop ONLY.

After the Workshop: Lit Chat with the Jacksonville Public Library

Following the workshop, Camille will be participating in a Lit Chat Interview hosted by the Jacksonville Public Library. Camille’s newest book is Soil: The Story of a Black Mother’s Garden. Camille will be in conversation with local author Nikesha Elise Williams. A book signing will follow, with books available for sale on site.

Register for the Lit Chat with the Jacksonville Public Library.
