Rising Tides - ocklawaha

Join the Rising Tides on Saturday, June 8th (9:30 am) for a sensational summer paddle on the Ocklawaha River.
Learn more about Rising Tides here

The Ocklawaha River is the largest tributary of the St. Johns River. The paddle is approximately 13 miles, but all downstream and is an easy paddle even for beginners.

This event has a suggested donation of $10 and includes two SweetWater beverages during the paddle.

Meeting Location for Paddle(9:30 am): Ray Wayside Park & Boat Ramp, 9560 NE 28th Lane, Silver Springs, FL 34488.

Bring your own boat (kayak or canoe) OR vessels available for the following suggested donations:
Kayak- $25
Canoe- $30

All paddlers/campers are responsible for bringing their own water, food and other recommended items such as bug spray, sunscreen, sunglasses and hat. Campers are required to bring their own camping equipment. If you are providing your own boat, you must bring a personal flotation device (PFD) and whistle, which is required by law.

Camping
Camping at Gores Landing Friday, June 7th and Saturday, June 8th is optional, but highly recommended! Gores Landing is a cozy campground right on the banks of the Ocklawaha River. The evening will include drinks, laughs and maybe even a night hike! On Sunday, there is an opportunity to make a stop at Salt Springs before heading home. If any campers would like to set up camp before the paddle, they may arrive at Gores Landing Friday night.

Please RSVP to attend here.
