Middle Basin: Black Water Creek Bridges Cleanup

Join us in supporting the Wekiva Wild & Scenic River System during their annual bridges cleanup. Show up and help remove litter and debris from three different bridges in the Seminole State Forest. We will meet at the Lake Norris Conservation Area East Trailhead at 9:00 AM. We will go over paperwork, hand out supplies (grabbers, trash bags, gloves, etc.) and divide the group into teams. Join author and WMFE journalist, Amy Green on March 10th for a conversation to coincide with the publication of her new book, Moving Water The Everglades and Big Sugar. Described as an "engrossing expose" and "political storytelling at its best" the conversation is sure to enlighten about Florida's unique environmental treasures. Amy will be interviewed by our own Middle Basin Advocacy Coordinator, Gabbie Milch, who was also the former Co-Chair of the League of Women Voter's of Orange County Natural Resources Committee.
