Paddle the Silver River
September 17 @ 9:00 am$45
Join us for a paddle on the Silver River with Adventure Outpost and special guest Gina Kent, a Swallow-tailed Kite expert from the Avian Research and Conservation Institute (ARCI) in Gainesville.
Come experience the amazing biodiversity of plants and animals along the Silver River. Through the clear waters of the spring, you will be able to see a variety of fish, macroinvertebrates, and maybe an eel, but along the shoreline there are turtles, gators, and plenty of other reptiles, all in their natural habitat.
There are also a number of birds in the Silver River Forest, which is a part of the Ocklawaha Basin. The tour will be lead by expert guide, Lars Andersen of Adventure Outpost. Gina Kent will be on hand to point out and speak to various birds and wildlife along the paddle.
This is an easy-paced paddle suitable for beginners and pros alike.
To register, please call Adventure Outpost at (386) 497-4214. Mention the date (September 17) and St. Johns Riverkeeper and have your payment information ready (they accept VISA and MasterCard) to secure your reservation.
