Adventures in Urban Ecosystems: Bee Inspired

May 7, 2023 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm

$7.50

In St. Johns Riverkeeper’s new Spring/Summer educational series “Adventures in Urban Ecosystems” we invite adults and kids alike to explore the natural spaces that harbor a diversity of life in Jacksonville’s urban landscape. In Bee Inspired, we’ll be talking native plants, pollinators, and ways we can create friendly spaces for these creatures in our backyards. The first ten attendees will receive native wildflower seeds for their garden and have the opportunity to build a bee hotel!

This program is geared more toward adults and older kids, but families are welcome!

There is a kayak launch at Charles Reese Memorial Park – so anyone who wants to paddle in some beautiful wetland areas after the program is encouraged to bring their paddleboard or kayak!
